'Come and Play' session with DPA

Dear Parents

1 March 2017

You are invited to take part in a ‘Come and Play’ instrument session with staff from Dudley Performing Arts.

All students & parents are welcome to bring their musical instruments and take part in a one off playing session on Thursday 9 March at 4pm in the school hall. The session will last for approx. one hour.

This session is aimed at all instrumentalists regardless of your experience and is open to beginners and more advanced players. To take part simply come along with your instrument and the performing arts staff will do the rest!

This invitation is open to:

  • All pupils having instrumental lessons in school
  • Any pupils who have instrumental lessons outside of school
  • School staff who play a musical instrument
  • Parents who play a musical instrument
  • Parents/Pupils who used to play but haven’t done so for some time. You are more than welcome to dust down your instruments and bring them along!

For parents who don’t play an instrument, there will be a separate drumming workshop so that everyone who comes along will be able to take part.

The session will include:

  • A short performance from the Performing Arts team
  • Lots of laughs
  • A big rehearsal (during which the drumming workshop will take place)
  • A final performance in which everyone will take part

This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come along and join in a relaxed hour of music making. There is no need to register and there is no charge – just turn up with your children (and instrument) and have fun! We look forward to seeing you there.

Yours sincerely
