As we near the final week of the school year, I thought you would appreciate a reminder about all the events taking between now and next Friday.
Saturday 14th July – CAR BOOT SALE CANCELLED
Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the car boot sale due to lack of ticket sales.
Monday 16th July
Golden Afternoon for top 5 Gold Zone visitors in each class. Children will be visiting the ice-cream van – please send back the permission slip on Monday morning.
Our fantastic football team will also be joining us for the Golden Afternoon in recognition of their amazing achievements this year. In case you haven’t heard, they won the Halesowen League with no goals conceded during the entire tournament.
The ice-cream van will remain on the field after school if you wish to stay and play for a while.
Tuesday 17th July
Children will find out their new classes and teachers this morning and will spend part of the morning in their new classroom getting to know their new teacher. Parents will be informed of the staffing arrangements for September on Tuesday via Parent Mail.

Leavers’ assembly – Y6 parents invited
This will be held for Year 6 pupils on the last day of term, Friday 20 July in school at 2pm. We would like to invite you to this special event but ask that only two representatives per child attend due to the limited space in the hall. Refreshments will be served after the assembly. Siblings will be available to collect at 3.15pm as normal.
UNIFORM NEXT WEEK
As the weather is now back to normal temperatures for the time of year, please ensure that your children are wearing full school uniform next week, including ties and shirts tucked in. Thank you for your co-operation during the recent hot spell – we have tried to keep the children as cool as possible. Let’s hope it heats up again in time for the holidays!
Children can bring a toy into school on the following days:
Year 1 Thursday
Year 2 Friday
Year 3 Thursday
Year 4 Friday
Year 5 Friday
Year 6 Thursday
Reception children have plenty of toys to play with in their classrooms so will not be taking part in this. Toys should be carefully chosen and not expensive or precious ones as we can not take responsibility for the toys whilst in school.
Children in Years 1 to 6 return on Wednesday 5 September 2018
We ask that children take home their inhalers, parents collect epipens and any other medication that has been brought into the office. Please take this opportunity to ensure your child’s medication is in date and there is sufficient and return it to us in September.
We wish you all a very safe and happy holiday.
