This year our Harvest Service will be held in school for children only. This is partly due to COVID concerns in terms of the number of children and parents involved and partly due to high absence levels amongst staff in terms of ensuring adequate supervision walking to and from Church.
Instead, we are planning to walk to Church for an Easter service. Hopefully by then, things will have calmed down a little and we will be confident that we will have enough staff to safely walk down, as well as feeling more confident about bringing together 320 children and parents.
We will be collecting harvest items for a local foodbank and a list of suitable items will be sent out nearer the time. The foodbank collection will take place on Wednesday 13th October.
The in-school service will be held on Thursday 14th October and a PowerPoint will be uploaded onto the school website to show parents what we have been learning about during our Harvest celebrations.
