Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal

We had special visitors in school for assembly this morning! As Hurst Green is one of the leading fundraising schools in the area, we have been chosen by the British Legion as a pilot school for a new range of items to be sold in aid of the Poppy Appeal.

Pictured below are Bronya Webster, who is the local RBL representative for our area, along with Councillors Karen Shakespeare and Geoff Hill who came to introduce the children to the new range, including wristbands and flexi rulers, which we are sure will be very popular indeed!

Also pictured with our guests are three children who recently went to Disneyland Paris to compete in a dance competition with children from all over the world! They also performed in the Disney Parade and during this morning's assembly they gave us a demonstration of some of their dances and we all agree they are very talented indeed!
