Day 7 – 02/04/20

 

Although we haven't published work today, there are a variety of ongoing tasks that can be completed on days that work isn't officially set. These include:

 

  1. Daily reading. Also Google David Walliams' free audio stories if you want to listen to one,
  2. Timestable Rockstars,
  3. Simple maths starters found on https://myminimaths.co.uk/,
  4. Read theory,
  5. SPAG.com (Year 6),
  6. Continue with your ICT project of coding a game. Once you have a working version, ask a family member to test it. Take constructive feedback and use it to improve your game.
  7. Also keep an eye on our Twitter account for daily challenges. Today's challenge is to design a parachute that will safely deliver an egg to the ground from your bedroom window! Post any pictures/videos on Twitter and tag @hurstgreensch.

  6. Create a thank you poster for the NHS and place it in your window or put a colourful piece of artwork or inspirational quote to cheer up passers by. Send a copy of this to your class teacher.
  7. Also keep an eye on our Twitter account for daily challenges. Today's challenge is to build a pickup truck. Rummage through your recycling and get creative! Post your final towers on Twitter and tag @hurstgreensch.

  6. Some year groups can continue their foundation projects. Or your child could start their own project about something they find interesting,
  7. Also keep an eye on our Twitter account for daily challenges. Today's challenge is build the biggest tower you can. Post your final towers on Twitter and tag @hurstgreensch. Look out for tomorrow's challenge
  8. Send the teacher an email about how your first few days have gone (parents please monitor).
