Reception have been very lucky to have visits from our amazing emergency services this half term, as part of their topic on "People Who Help Us".

A police officer came to talk to the children about the different ways in which the police service can help us. They learnt about the special equipment he uses and were even allowed to try on some police uniform! They also got to sit inside his police van - in the front and in the back. 

A paramedic came to school too. She brought an ambulance for the children to look at and even step inside. The paramedic kindly demonstrated the sirens, which excited the children and sparked lots of curiosity.

The fire service will be visiting school this week as well! Thank you to all of our special visitors who have helped us to understand more about the important work these services do.
