A sneak peek at some of the amazing learning going on in Year 3!

Professor Black's Ancient Egyptian Day!

Today, we had a very special visitor in Year 3! Professor Black came in to talk to us about Ancient Egypt. Professor Black knew so much information and had so many wonderful stories and facts to tell us (as well as playing some fun games!) We all had an amazing day!

Thank you so much to the Hurst Green PTFA for funding this experience for our children Happy heart, Red heart with open arms SVG PNG JPG - Digital Download

Ancient Egyptian Clay Jewellery

We have been studying, designing and making our own Ancient Egyptian-style jewellery using clay. Here are some of our finished items!

Ancient Egyptian Papyrus Paper

Over the past few weeks, we have been exploring how the Ancient Egyptians made an early version of paper by using papyrus leaves. We have copied their technique to make our own paper and decorated it with Ancient Egyptian-style patterns and pictures.

Dry Diving

We had an amazing time practising our diving skills, with the help from coaches from Sandwell Aquatics Centre!

Iron Age Roundhouses

In our DT lessons, we have researched the types of homes people lived in in Prehistoric Britain. We then designed and made our own Iron Age roundhouses. We are very proud of them! We even arranged them in a village on a hill to create a hillfort!

Prehistoric Art

We have experimented at using prehistoric techniques to create some amazing art!

We drew pictures of British wildlife using chalk, painted birds onto a sandy background and created a group hand print piece, using both positive and negative prints.
